3rd blog

I learned that it was easy to write about something I already knew a lot about. It allowed me to focus more on the paper itself rather than finding the information. I learned that I can write faster and more efficiently when the topic is something I am knowledgeable about. I learned a lot of people are involved in subcultures that I didn’t know about. The most important part of the autoethnography was to write about yourself and allow to you explore your mind. I liked the autoethnography because it gave me complete control of what I was able to write.

  1. They learned about many subcultures that they hadn’t heard of before, which was different from me in that I didn’t learn about any new subcultures in the process of writing the autoethnography. They were similar because they also wrote about a topic that they were very knowledgable about, which makes the paper very easy to write, which was what I found when I was writing. My positive remark is that they are able to write about a topic they know about very quickly.

  2. One thing we learned differently was that he learned a lot about other subcultures; I didn’t learn as much about other subcultures. However, we did both learn that writing about something we enjoy happens to be a lot more efficient than writing about an assigned topic. I like Carter’s style of writing his blog posts, and the name of his blog.
